Why the Blind Taste Tester? Paul Horgen, who is blind, has been cruising the Comox Valley with his trusty guide dog Kona and his not so “trusty” friend Jim for the last few years. They while away their time eating and drinking and generally supporting the local restaurants, breweries, pubs, wineries and they want to trumpet “unique to the Valley” experiences. At one of their pub lunches several years ago, the Blind Taste Tester was conceived. Paul and Jim have been enjoying and sampling what the Valley has to offer for years; they saw no reason to stop. They will accept no free meals or gratuities for the Blind Taste Tester reviews. It is just a fun thing to do and to encourage others to sample the delights of the Valley. Please keep your eye on this website and if you like the food and drink pass it on.
